Hakuoki: Demon Of The Fleeting Blossom

So I just found out my friend recently got Hakuoki: Demon Of The Fleeting Blossom for PSP... I HAVE THAT GAME!! It's one of my fave games... I just love all the bishies and the cutscenes... The CGs are really pretty too... plus I had also previously watched the anime, which I loved... although I do wish they chose to follow a different route rather than the one they did follow. Then again I guess that is canon for the series, seeing as that character had the longest route... if I had a choice though, I would have either followed Saito or Harada's routes... those two are my faves! :)

I wrote up walkthroughs for each route a while back... I considered linking to them, but I think I might just repost them up here...

I'm seriously stoked for the Prequel season of Hakuoki, I think it's Hakuouki Reimeiroku... it occurs before Chizuru comes to Kyoto... I think it's about how the Shinsengumi came to be... normally I wouldn't watch it, since I don't think Chizuru would be in it... then again I love those characters, plus she may appear if they decide to do the epilogue... I was impatient and looked up all the endings for Reimeiroku, as well as extra scenes that should have occurred in Demon of the Fleeting Blossom in Zuisouroku... I wish those games would be translated to english! Although it took forever for Demon of the Fleeting Blossom to be translated that it's probably unlikely that Reimeiroku and Zuisouroku will be translated... sigh the problems of not understanding Japanese...

I love all the characters in Hakuoki!! At first I thought I'd like Hijikata's route, since it was canon and I was already familiar with it, having seen the anime... Gotta say, it took FOREVER to complete though! But then I played Saito and Harada's routes... fell in love with them... Saito is just so cute, with his cool demeanor and lack of understanding on why Chizuru does what she does, and Harada... he's like a girl's dream guy... he's big on protecting women and his pride on a man, but he's adorable - his ending is one of the best I think... he's the only one of the guys who has a kid with Chizuru...  Heisuke and Okita's routes were a bit darker, with Okita's being the darkest, I think. Heisuke grew on me after a while - he's so cute to Chizuru and obviously in love with her... Okita's was seriously dark. So much angst about his illness, then taking ochimizu, only to find it won't cure him of his illness and shorten his lifespan even more... then Chizuru's evil twin brother forcefully makes Chizuru take ochimizu and become a rasetsu, even though she's already a demon... the ending was sort of sweet though, with Okita and Chizuru living in seclusion away from society, but happily... so cute!  Kazama kind of grew on me after a while... even though he's sadistic and evil, he seems to show his softer side to Chizuru, comforting her after her father's death and when she finds out the fates of the other members of the shinsengumi... wasn't much of an ending for him, but he pretty much declares his love for her and says he will come back for her when she is ready to move past the deaths of her beloved friends in the shinsengumi... CUTE!

... okay, I like this game too much... in fact, I think I'm going to replay it in the holidays... I can't at the moment, since I'm pretty swamped with work... sigh.

Harada Sanosuke Route

OKAY, I DECIDED. I'm too lazy to post the walkthrough here, so I'll link to it, and just post all the CGs I got from it hehehe...

This one is Harada's route!! Zomg it was the cutest route! Saito is still my favourite, but Harada’s route is so adorable! Only guy not to become a Rasetsu, or “fury”, as the english version is calling it… still think Rasetsu sounded better… oh well.

Saito Hajime Route

Okay time for Saito's route!  I love that route… Saito is so cute!!! Granted, a lot of this route focuses on Saito and his meaning of warrior, or something along those lines… but I just love how he’s always protecting Chizuru… so cute!! *sigh*

Saito is definitely my favourite member of the Shinsengumi… ♥♥♥

Hijikata Toshizo Route

And here's Hijikata's route! Granted, I love the route (closest to the anime, which I watched first), but geez, it takes a seriously long time to get through!!

Hijikata used to be my favourite... Until I realised how cool Saito was... and how sweet Harada was... he's still up there though! I just love how he is with Chizuru... his stern demeanor just fades when it comes to her sometimes...

Toudou Heisuke Route

And here's Heisuke's route! While Harada’s & Saito’s are still my favourites, Heisuke’s route wasn’t so bad… a bit short for my tastes, but Heisuke is just so cute! He’s the closest in age to Chizuru, and always trying to act cool in front of her… kawaii!

Sanan is extremely insane in this route… cannot stress that enough… but there’s a lot more of Sen, and we even see Kazama differently…

Okita Souji Route

And here’s Okita’s route! Wasn’t bad, not my favourite though… Only route where Kaoru played a major villain role, unlike the others… HE IS REALLY TWISTED!! He just plain creeps me out…

I love how Okita realises that he loves Chizuru… my fave is when he hugged her and told her he was suddenly overcome with this need to hold her (and has all these feelings he doesn’t understand) - KAWAII!!!

Kazama Chikage Route + Normal Ending

This guy isn't exactly my favourite character, but he's grown on me... weren't a lot of CGs for his route though. He's kind of grown on me, though. Still not at the same level as the other guys, but his ending is sweet hehe.

Procrastination

... so I am doing no work whatsoever right now... I bludged through my lecture my organising spaces on my computer - I currently have 4 desktop spaces, each with a different background... it's kinda cool.  Desktop 1 = web browsers, desktop 2 = social networking, desktop 3 = working apps eg word etc, desktop 4 = media apps eg itunes, quicktime... hehehehe

I am so not bothered to do any work today, and am severely tempted to create another neopets account to pass time... well this is highly productive, NOT.
